April 30, 2007:  New fork boots

Finally got the fork boots. So here they are (thanks Anis).

Now, what the shop manual doesn't tell you or at least not directly and explicitly:
  1. There is oil in the shock tube, held in by the top bolt! So don't take the bolt out or loosen it too much and turn the motorcycle, the front fork, or just the shock absorber horizontal or inverted (LOL)

  2. The shock is pinched in the lower fork by the steering stem 8x32mm bolt!

  3. What is the type and amount of oil to put in an S90 front shock? If we turn our hymnals, oops, I mean our shop manuals to page 89, part 4.3.D, it states that 130-140cc of good old SAE 10W-30 is correct! Does anybody know?
While I'm here at the fork, can one add ones own L-brackets to the front top bridge plate 53231-028-010au, since mine doesn't have the side tabs for mounting the front turn signals? Or can one add turn signals with posts in place of, or onto the headlight mounting bolts?

I ask because I want to ride Barney, but I really need turn signals for safety around here where I live.
