If one takes a reversible hand drill, clutches in a captive straight slot bit,
holds it onto the front wheel end of the speedometer cable, and runs it backward,
that is, counterclockwise, the speedometer and odometer work beautifully!
I may make a little video of it to show. And some audio of the horn. Anybody interested in hearing "Barney" come back to life? Throttle cable or carb is stuck as throttle grip and slide turn ok, but cable doesn't budge. Well, that's tomorrow. |
