| The front bolt is holding the engine. I removed the other two bolts, put a jack under the engine. Now to remove the bolt and lower the engine. This will allow one to clean out the frame. Notice the 'barn" material above the engine inside the frame. |

| One of the first things to come out. A stowaway, long petrified dried out and flat. Wonder when he or she lived? 1980's perhaps? Engine now is off. |

| So far this much has come out of the frame! Lifted up the front, tapped with a rubber mallet, snaked up and down with a coat hanger for quite a while, as "barn" rained down out of the frame! |

| Another stowaway. This one really had a bad decade! This is the last of the archaeolgical tangents! But it just shows how much barn mouse nest material mice can bring into an S90! |

| I just took the camera, put it where the engine was and shot a picture straight up into the frame. Sort of wonder if the frame is OK or not? Anyone have any ideas? I am on the Yahoo! S90 group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Honda-S90/?yguid=193254296 |

| This is most of the "barn" gathered together before disposal. Shown in relation to a brake pedal to give it some scale. |

| Now here is the engine freshly removed from the frame. I think there is a condenser and high voltage coil and wires in there somewhere. I wonder if they could make a spark now in this condition? |

|
Now after a lot of cleaning with shop vacuum, brush in the crevices, etc., I still
have a lot of cleaning to do, but I think I am down to the grime now! Now I can go about replacing the wiring harness, replace the throttle, clutch and brake cables, which are worn. Then refurbish the fuel system. Then I can try to start Barney up. If you have been paying attention you might have noticed that engine has a step bar now! It also has a new muffler, exhaust port gasket, silencer, new inner tube for the front tire and fuel line (none of which are installed yet). All thanks to Anis at http://tenavintage.com |
