October 25, 2008: Chinese Takeout

The idea here is to make an AC generator cover that is clear so that one can see the timing marks under a strobe light, and not get splattered with oil.
So I "recycled" a circuler Chinese takeout container top, and one plastic shot cup!

Cut to about 5.6", cut 3 holes using the real cover as a template.

Shot cup about 1 11/16" diameter.

Trim out a hole roughly to match and pop in the shot cup.

There it is, clears the rotor and the nut on the crankshaft. Haven't tried it yet, but it ought to work?
